Starting on Monday, Sept. 14, schools in the McLain High School neighborhood will partner with the Tulsa Housing Authority and Ed Darby Foundation to launch weekly "office hours” at Apache Manor (2402 N Marion Ave.), Comanche Park (3608 N. Quaker Ave.), Mohawk Manor (2530 E. 37th St. N.), and Seminole Hills (1624 E. Virgin St.).

Following the United States Department of Agriculture’s extension of several waivers related to student meals, Tulsa Public Schools will return to its summer meal service model on Monday, Sept. 14.
While our schools are in distance learning, attendance will be based on students logging into Canvas and doing their assignments. Attendance will be taken weekly using assignments completed between Monday morning and Sunday night.
Students in distance learning have the flexibility to complete assignments and virtual classes on the schedule that best meets the needs of each family. While distance learning will include Zoom-based “live” classes, all Zoom lessons will be recorded for students to watch at a later time.

This afternoon, Tulsa Public Schools announced the district’s 2020-2021 Teacher of the Year. Superintendent Deborah A. Gist surprised Monroe Demonstration Academy teacher Laura Grisham at her school to name her as the 2020-2021 Tulsa Public Schools Teacher of the Year.
